POSITION DESCRIPTION

No travel. The position available is for local Triad area in shop work. Safe and professional work environment. Monday-Friday work schedule, home evenings and weekends. Direct hire opportunity with a growing, respected and well-established company in the industry.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Studies production schedules and estimates staffing, duty assignments and inventory requirements.
  • Helps to develop a process plan including people, resources, equipment, and floor space.
  • Applies work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Coordinates manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Responds to grievances in conjunction with facility HR and Production Manager and works with subordinates and Production Manager to discuss and eliminate challenges.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Must have experience in pipe fabrication, installation and supervisory experience.

SPECIAL TRAINING/SKILLS

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of email, spreadsheet software, word processing software and presentation software.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision and depth perception.
